The outer districts of Stuttgart

After introducing you to Stuttgart’s inner city districts in the first part of the Stuttgart city districts, the second part will deal with Stuttgart’s outer city districts.

Outer districts

Stuttgart is home to 18 suburban districts, Stuttgart 18 suburban districts, each characterized by its own special charm. For a better overview, we have divided them categorically into the northern outlying districts, the districts on the Neckar and the Filderstadt districts.

The northern suburbs

Botnang
Stuttgart-Botnang, a suburban district adjacent to Stuttgart-West, is characterized by an almost entirely wooded environment. The diversity of the district is reflected in the mix of detached houses with spacious gardens on one side and a high-rise estate on the other. The district center offers a lively atmosphere with cafés, restaurants, stores and bakeries.

A special feature of Botnang is the circular hiking trail that runs around the district, which is also Stuttgart’s first themed hiking trail under the Botnang landmark “Kuckuck”. Although Stuttgart-Botnang is surrounded by forest and is very quiet, the district is also strategically located, as the freeways around Stuttgart are just a few minutes’ drive away.

Feuerbach
Stuttgart-Feuerbach, a suburb of Stuttgart, is characterized by its proximity to nature, in particular the Feuerbach valley and the “Lemberg” nature reserve. This natural environment contributes to Feuerbach’s popularity as a residential area. In addition to its idyllic location, the district is easily accessible from the city center thanks to its excellent public transport connections. But it’s not just the city center that is easily accessible – three main roads border Feuerbach, ensuring quick access to freeways.

Weilimdorf
